The Brief:
Sometimes, the role of a journalist came with a few mutual benefits. Sometimes, we visited local restaurants, pubs etc to review their food in exchange for writing a review in the paper. Again, this was a great benefit but also an important role, as we needed to make sure that we were taking in every part of the experience so we could accurately report back the levels of service, ambience, and, of course, the food and drinks.
